Local Shopping

The community of Glastonbury has a variety of unique, locally owned stores that cater to its reputation as a spiritual, creative, and historical center. C’mon, how can you go wrong with a shop named Bagend? While it doesn't have the large malls or luxury brand stores you might find in larger cities, it features these notable shopping destinations:

High Street is the main shopping thoroughfare in Glastonbury, where you can find many independent shops and boutiques offering a range of items from books to jewelry, clothing, souvenirs, and more.

The Gauntlet is a charming, medieval-looking shopping alley off High Street with a variety of unique and independent shops.

Bagend is a unique, family-run business offering a variety of musical instruments, specializing in drums and percussion. They also carry an array of world music CDs, books, and incense.

For more mainstream or brand-name shopping, Clarks Village in Street is worth a visit. This large outlet shopping center houses more than 90 High Street and designer brands, as well as several food outlets.

Every Tuesday, the Glastonbury Market takes place, offering a range of goods from local produce to clothing and crafts.

Greenlands Wholefoods is a great shop for those interested in organic, eco-friendly and health-conscious products.

Courtyard Books is a small, independent bookstore with a wide selection of both new and secondhand books.

The Goddess and the Green Man is an iconic store in Glastonbury, perfect for those in search of spiritual or New Age items.

Man, Myth & Magik is another intriguing shop, ideal for anyone interested in esoteric books, tarot cards, and various spiritual and mythological items.

Crystal Man is a paradise for crystal lovers with a vast selection of gemstones and minerals.

Happy Glastonbury is a delightful shop selling everything from jewelry to fairy paraphernalia.

A visit to Glastonbury wouldn't be complete without picking up a special locally crafted keepsake. A piece of crystal jewelry from Crystal Man or a beautifully illustrated Hero’s Journey Map from Man, Myth & Magik could serve as a thoughtful, tangible reminder of your journey, sure to delight a loved one upon your return.
