Who doesn’t need a love story at this time of year?
Stories of holiday romance have a greater impact than we may realize. Often, it seems, their combination of beauty, love, humor and happy endings help people get through tough times.
One participant, for instance, told us she couldn’t have gotten through chemotherapy without them.
Others turn to Christmas movies when they feel lonely or they’re missing a loved one.
Another said she and her mom get together every year to watch their favorite Christmas films. It’s one of their most beloved holiday traditions.
The truth is, these stories bring us together and restore hope.
So if they hold a place in your heart—as a writer or a viewer—please join us. You’ll fall in love with happy endings all over again, making this a true holiday celebration.

Watch for these Summiteers' movies, who had their screenplays produced after the holiday class:
Believe in Christmas
All I Need For Christmas
The Holiday Extravaganza is such an incredible mix of practical knowledge, inspiring stories, and hands-on learning. The Extravaganza was my first screenwriting class, and by the time it was done, I couldn't wait to try my hand at a holiday romcom. Since then I've had one Christmas script produced and am in talks with producers for several more. I couldn't have asked for a better intro to the world of Christmas entertainment!
—Maggie Dallen
It must've been Christmas magic that led me to Story Summit's Holiday Extravaganza, because ten joyous classes and six months later, I sold my first script! ALL I NEED FOR CHRISTMAS premieres December 12 on Hallmark Mystery Channel!
—Heidi Kling
